My favorite Christmas present ever.
During Christmas Break, we went to the Desert Botanical Gardens. The first time we visited I wasn't sure how well the kids would like it. I explained to them that it was like a zoo for amazing plants instead of animals. They loved it. This time we went to a different part of the garden where you learn about the native culture from a thousand years ago. The kids had a fun time grinding Mesquite pods into flour, and playing in the Tohono O'odham huts. The Garden is also hosting an exhibit called Big Bugs. It was amazing, and the kids loved it.
