Things are busy around here. School is going well for the kids. Mid-term grades are in and we're pretty happy.
Steve installed a water softener today. It's the biggest DIY project he's ever done. I'm proud of him.
Amelia is starting to try to talk a lot more. She's pretty cute. She loves farm animals.
Burke and I have been filling our days with friends, swimming, music and preschool type activities. We'll be starting a playgroup with friends this week and look forward to it. We are on a good schedule which gives me a little time to do some housework.
I am still training for my marathon. I have 34 days left to train. I have been so tired, waking up at 4:30 almost everyday.
I replenished my supply of Chex. We were out, which was hard. I went to the store to buy a box and it was $4.79. I told the kids that we could not buy it at that price and we would have to have oatmeal and hot cereal. The next day the grocery ads came in the mail and Chex was on sale for $1.49 a box with a minimum 4 box purchase. I laughed and told Steve that was no problem. I bought 230 boxes in 6 shopping carts. It was a great sale.
I took Alexis and a few of her friends to see the One Direction: This is Us movie. It was pretty entertaining. It made me like the group better. It was funny to see all of the girls in the theater screaming as though they were seeing the group live. I wish we could afford the $140 per ticket to see them in concert, but there are so many more things that we should do with that money. Amy is going to go to the movie next because now she loves them too, and if we let her like them then Alexis won't s much.
Tommy lost another tooth. This time I gave him the book Holes. He read it in a day and then we rented the movie to watch last night.
Michael is doing so well in school. He is getting so many little positive notes from his teacher telling me how well he is doing. I'm so glad. He hasn't cried at all this year.
Brian is having his wisdom teeth pulled in a week. Then he will be able to turn in his mission papers. The house is definitely different with him here. There is a lot of energy here that needs to be released into the world!
I am loving my life, and it is going to become busier... I can feel it.
