I was so happy that we could take a couple of days to fly up to Denver for Steve's cousin's wedding. We arrived late Thursday night, and drove ever to my younger sister's house and went to bed. We were tired. Friday morning we woke up, dressed and ran over to Steve's business' headquarters to see the office. We talked to his partner for a few minutes and then rushed back to my sister's to drop off Amelia. We drove to the temple and enjoyed all of the green scenery and trees. When we arrived at the temple I was so happy to see so many people from our old ward working there that day. It was nice to be able to catch up (quietly) while we were in the waiting room. The ceremony was really sweet.
When we left the temple we went to the mall to pick up a hair brush from the American Girl store, and Amelia received a lot of attention. One woman stopped Steve to see if she was real or a doll. We grabbed a quick bite at Del Taco, and then walked around the mall for an hour before going to the luncheon. After the luncheon we went to the church building and helped set up for the ring ceremony and the reception. We ran to Molly's for a minute to freshen up and then rushed back to the church for the rest of the evening. It was so nice to see friends and family. We left the reception early and went to Bonnie Brae Ice Cream. It is where Steve and I had our first date. We ran into one of his old college room mates there, which was coincidental. The ice cream was really good. I had cinnamon and Steve had Reese's Cup.
Saturday morning Steve went to breakfast with his friend Mitch, and I had breakfast with my sisters. then we went to Steve's cousin's for a BBQ. It was good to sit and talk for a while. We left there and stopped at my favorite antique mall, and then stopped at my older sister's before we went to the airport.
It was a whirlwind trip, but it was fun and so good to be back in Denver for a couple of days.
